The conference champion Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions Women’s Volleyball team dominated the recently announced 2010 Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) All-Conference Team, comprised of the best players from the Penn State Commonwealth Campuses.
A few thoughts that came to me on the bus ride back from Louisville.
Our trip to the USCAA National Volleyball Championships is underway. We arrived in Louisville around 10:30 last night. Fortunately we did not play our first game until 2:30, so it wasn’t an early wake up call (unless, of course, you got the bright idea to visit Churchill Downs in the morning). It was worth the trip, but I digress.
The second-seed Roaring Lions volleyball team made history Saturday night, completing a run at a rare third championship in a row in the PSUAC Conference Tournament, held in Recreation Hall on the University Park campus. The Roaring Lions (22-10, 14-2 PSUAC) took down one-seed Penn State Mont Alto 3-1 (25-16, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20) for the third straight season to claim the title, avenging a regular season loss to the Lions back on September 19.
The second-seed Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions volleyball team advanced to the PSUAC Championship game with a convincing 3-0 sweep (25-14, 25-22, 25-18) of third-seed Penn College on Friday, October 22 at Recreation Hall.
Eighteenth-ranked Penn State Fayette avenged an earlier defeat to fifteenth-ranked Penn State DuBois 3-0 on Tuesday night at Fayette’s Main Arena.
The Roaring Lions women’s volleyball team completed a brutal stretch of six matches in seven days at the Bethany College Tri-Match on Tuesday, September 28, beating Chatham University 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-23) before falling to Bethany (16-25, 9-25, 13-25).
